A former guardian at RES Consulting in Havertown, Pennsylvania, Gloria Byars now serves in the same position at Global Guardian Services in Lansdowne, Pennsylvania. Dedicated to volunteer work, Gloria Byars also contributes her time to the Prison to Praise program at the Church of the Overcomer.
Located in the city of Trainer, the Church of the Overcomer aims to bring the news of the Gospel to people and to care for them outside the walls of the church. The leadership of the church includes Pastor Keith Collins and his wife, Carolyn, who have both intently studied christian theology and participated in mission trips.
The Church of the Overcomer seeks to support its members through ministries, such as the Real Men Need Real Men Ministry and the Chosen Vessel Women's Ministry. The church also educates the public through courses in finance, business, marriage, and its Academy of Champions cyberschool. Other programs seek to lift up those struggling, and include programming that ranges from the Free In Deed Addictions Ministry to the Prison to Praise Ministry.
